Holy grail: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
With so many beauty products on the market, many products come and go these days, and it’s hard to find a product that will stand the test of time. DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil is one product that has remained consistent for me over the years.
I began using this oil at some point during high school (I’m in my mid-30s now for reference), thanks to my sister! I was dealing with acne and oiliness at the time and this oil and DHC’s mild soap really helped my skin. At the time, I remember thinking why would I use an oil-based product when I’m already oily? I’m so glad that I gave it a shot because this oil ended up being the holy grail that I kept repurchasing.
As my skin has changed over the years, I’ve found myself only repurchasing the oil and not the soap. I haven’t used the soap in a long time but I think with my skin being on the drier side most of the year, I don’t think the soap would be hydrating enough for me.
This oil definitely has a more olive oil consistency and smells similar, so you may or may not like that. That being said, it fades quickly and I don’t even notice it anymore. It glides on smooth and will remove skincare, makeup, and even waterproof mascara! All of this without stripping your skin!
Prior to picking up Beauty Blender’s Solid Cleanser, I oftentimes used this oil to remove makeup from my beauty blender and makeup brushes and it did an excellent job. I love a product that serves multiple purposes!
