Farmacy – Deep Sweep Review

Firstly, I want to thank Farmacy for so kindly gifting me the Deep Sweep – 2% BHA pore cleaning toner! I’ve been using this for a few weeks so I can’t really speak on the longevity of this product, only my first impressions during this time.

PACKAGING

When it comes to packaging, they seriously know what they’re doing! I love the fonts and graphics they use on all of their products, it’s minimal but says a lot at the same time.

I’m so used to plastic bottles from other brands that I was shocked (in a good way) when I opened the package and it was such a heavy glass! It feels really luxurious. After I finish this toner, I’ll definitely hang on to this bottle and find another use for it.

PRODUCT

Speaking on the product itself, I know BHAs are designed more for normal-oily skin types, however, I can bounce back and forth to a variety of different types depending on the time of year. Right now, we are heading into summer here in TN, and with the heat and humidity, my skin can lean more toward normal-slightly oily during these months.

I applied this toner solely with the mini Makeup Eraser and found it to spread easily on my face without drying so quickly that I had to use a ton of product. I found it to smell a bit herbal but it’s very faint and dissipates quickly. As I applied it, it felt really refreshing and hydrating on my skin. It does have a very minor tingle that is only for a split second on my skin. If you’ve tried their Honeymoon Glow, and don’t mind that tingle, it’s even milder than that. It also gave my skin a nice glow without feeling tacky on my skin, which is always a bonus!

OTHER NOTES

Prior to using this toner, I have been loving the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, however, I hate throwing away single-use pads 1-2x/day. With this toner, I like the idea that I can use it with a reusable cloth and not accumulate a lot of waste. I hope that I end up liking this toner just as much as the radiance pads.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, I think this toner will be an excellent choice for me during the warmer months when my skin isn’t so dry/dehydrated. I think in the winter months it won’t be hydrating enough for me. Assuming my luck with Deep Sweep continues, I’d absolutely purchase this with my own money, at least during the warmer months. I’ll update this post if I find my opinion changes one way or the other.
