Laneige Cream Skin Review

Laneige (meaning “the snow“) as a brand has been hit or miss for me in the past; most recently, I reviewed their Moisturizing Cream Cleanser, and I was sadly disappointed right away. With that being said, I was eager to try something new from the brand to make up for the prior miss. Today I am excited to share these two new products of their Cream Skin line that I’ve been testing out for two to three weeks. Say hello to the CREAM SKIN MILK OIL CLEANSER and CREAM SKIN MIST! 👋

CREAM SKIN MILK OIL CLEANSER

The bottle itself is thick plastic with a high-quality pump that makes the product come out quickly.

The Cream Skin Milk Oil cleanser is interesting, and unlike any cleanser I’ve tried before. When you squirt the cleanser out, it almost looks like glue, but it’s not thick and goopy like glue. I was pleasantly surprised that this cleanser didn’t have a fragrance, like any at all. Even when a product touts fragrance-free, it has some sort of smell, but this one doesn’t at all, so I’ve experienced no redness or breakouts due to fragrance! Yay!

If you’re looking for a lathering cleanser, this isn’t it. I find that it takes my skincare off well by itself, but I think if I had makeup on, I would need to double cleanse. Some might see this as a negative, but I like it because it’s not going to strip my skin!

CREAM SKIN MIST

The packaging of this Cream Skin Mist is a thick and sturdy plastic like the cleanser, and it feels luxe!

The product itself is excellent, definitely one of the best mists that I’ve used over the years. The product comes out in a super fine mist that evenly distributes all over your face, and dries down quickly. Like the cleanser, this mist has no fragrance that I notice.

I haven’t been wearing makeup lately, so I haven’t tried it over that, but I have been using it to “set” my skincare routine, or just throughout the day for a refresher on hot and humid days. It works perfectly in both of those instances.

I was a little concerned about the price vs. size ratio, but after looking at other mists on Sephora, and from other brands I’ve purchased in the past, you get more mist for your buck with this Cream Skin mist.

FINAL NOTES

Despite the previous miss of the Laneige Moisturizing Cream Cleanser, I am so glad that I had the opportunity to try them out again. The Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser and Cream Skin Mist are a night and day difference for me from the previous cream cleanser! I’ll be interested to see how I enjoy both of these products long-term. As of now, I approve of both!
